Fraught with major setbacks and difficulties completing the Bamboo Playhouse - Ibrahim, a migrant worker from Bangladesh - was one of those very few who stayed on till the very end to see it finished as perfectly as possible under the circumstances. This short video was shot back in 2015 just as we completed the project. We felt a huge sense of gratitude for the commitment shown by Ibrahim and his friends who travelled far from their homeland to work on our project. Gratitude alone is insufficient - a better deal and improved living conditions are long overdue and the recent surge in covid-19 cases among migrant workers brings to light their plight. It’s high time to rethink how we treat people who help build our beautiful country. - - #abetterdealformigrantworkers
Our models are basking in the sun today.
