about Us

Eleena Jamil Architect was formed in 2005 and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We are known for our varied and exciting built work and thoughtful approach to problem-solving. We built spaces for everyday life with a focus on material expression, resulting in beautiful and intelligent sustainable design.

Sustaining our approach is a reference to the local surroundings and their effects. Every project is unique and so each of our proposals is an original and creative response to a specific situation.

EJA is registered with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) and Persatuan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM) since 2005. Its founder, Eleena is also registered with Architects Registration Board (ARB UK) and a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

A pavilion made from circular bamboo rings has been designed and built in collaboration with UNHabitat for the World Urban Forum 2018 which Kuala Lumpur city is hosting from the 7th through to the 13th of February 2018.
